In the interview 50% of the interviewees wanted to see characters appear in the video who promoted a alternative/hipster style. However, just under 50% of interviewees also wanted to see a more classical, understated look appear in the video. Therefore I think the character styling is essential in order to aesthetically please the target audience, this way even if the characters cast don't fit the ideal image, we can dress them accordingly so that they do and style them in terms of hair/piercings etc.

Styling Ideas

In terms of style, I believe the characters should be recognisably fitting into the 'alternative' style, but should be dressed in an understated way so that it is not too much to focus on and also so that the attention isn't taken away from the storyline and footage. By making the characters more understated, this will also reach a wider audience, and people will not be put off by the visuals and style.
